Well, we have got around to the next stage of the trip….applying for the visas.
It was quite an in depth process online with lots of questions and paperwork and $160 each to apply and an online appointment for our interviews at the US Embassy in Mayfair London in June. The pictures are done, the hotel is booked nearby and parkatmyhouse.com used to locate the car not too far away outside of the congestion zone. The only issue I came across as we were booking is that I happened to choose the same week as the Wimbledon Tennis, so the hotels were more expensive and few and far between.We’ve also decided to make a weekend of it in London so are staying up there the Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
May have to have a sneaky look at Wimbledon tickets the next time i happen to be on the old internet.
It turned out that it’s cheaper to drive and park than to use the railway from Devon, so much for inviting us to be green and use public transport
